Lynn West

Mother and family lived in Acton Cottages no. 4
Interview: With cousin Barbara Roberts, April 2011

“I'm Lynn West. My mother Amy Dunshea was born in the Acton hospital and grew up in Acton in no. 4 Acton Cottages, with her siblings Helen, Eric and Frank, and parents Ernest and Christina. My grandfather Ernest worked as a nightwatchman and as a gardener for George Weston. The Acton memorial was actually my mother's idea. She started it, but then she passed away, so we carried on to do it for her.”

Lynn and her cousin Barbara came to the community sessions with their uncle Frank Dunshea.
