Changes Since the Lake
In this extended compilation, past Acton residents and Canberra locals share their feelings on how the area has changed since the construction of Lake Burley Griffin. There were many varied responses, ranging from opinions on how the lake has directly impacted on Acton, to its influence on Canberra more broadly.
There were also quite a few people who chose to focus on changes that have taken place on Acton Peninsula, which while not submerged, is a significant aspect of the Acton landscape for many in the community, and the place of many fond memories. This is our longest movie - almost 30 minutes in length. For optimal viewing we recommend allowing the movie to fully download before viewing.
