“My name is Lyn Macoustra. I am the daughter of Sheilah Barrie (nee Saunders). My mother and her family lived in Acton cottages no. 7. I went to the original Canberra High School and I used to play hockey down on the Acton flats. I also have a lot of memories of playing in and around the river. My brother (Bruce) and I used to ride the rapids on a canoe there when it flooded.”

Lyn came to our community session in 2011 along with her brother Bruce and mother Sheilah Barrie.
