Photo taken at the 5th Annual Highland Gathering Acton Showground 23 February 1929. Children can be seen at the playground in the background. This photo came from Alfred Barber's album (Babette Scougal's father). Babette notes: “Mum's sister was a dancer and won a few firsts that day. But what I’m so excited about is to discover that my Grandma also won a prize for the Irish Jig! She must’ve been in her 50's by then!”
