This mud map of Acton was created by Kevin Dunshea in 2004. Kevin's father Frank Dunshea lived in no. 4 Acton Cottages. Kevin's 'you are here' text highlights the site of the current Acton Memorial. Kevin's notes for this map are as follows:
"Lost to the Lake: The river flats around today's Acton Peninsula were well utilised and were the site of much of Canberra's early sporting and recreational activity. This map shows what was there before the filling of Lake Burley Griffin."
