My project is about exploring the routine of daily life experienced by the Kaye family when they lived on Klensendorlffe Farm through the use of every day utensils. I have spun paper thread using dozens of copies of a letter written by Ms Alice Kaye to convey the repetition of their day-to-day lives. Within my own family, the kitchen is often the central part of our daily routine. In exploring this, I have chosen to use the paper thread to create a collection of various utensils that the Kaye family would have used. Engrained within these everyday items are humble experiences interwoven to create new stories.
